Map Error = "Index Not Found" HELP!

I am getting the following fatal error:
"Index Not Found" every time I try to create a new map.
I am using zmud 6.62 on Windows XP with all the patches and latest driver updates.
I have rebooted and restarted zmud and the error continues.
I can no longer use the mapper because of this.

I have successfully created several little maps successfully (oh about 20) before this started happening and I am just running into this problem. Not sure why.

After I get this error and click ok, my cursor within Zmud is now an hourglass and continues to be an hourglass until I restart the program.

btw the mapper is quite annoying as it seems to constantly stack rooms for me and I often have to merge the rooms. I have tried different configurations and am not sure why this happens.

1) Any ideas why the "Index not found" error? (would really like to start using the mapper again)
2) any way to stop the mapper from stacking rooms that it shouldn't?

Thanks

I had this same error last night. Strange fix, but this is what I did. I opened another map I had, and saved it as a new name. Then I opened the map I had just saved, and it was empty (which I wasn't expecting since I had just saved it). So finally I opened up the map that was giving me trouble, and it opened right up. Strange "fix", but it worked for me. Good luck.
