hi.
i know how to gag empty line,
it's #tr {^$} {#gag}
but it works in version 6 or higher
BUT i use 5.55, it suits my demands
how do i do it in 5.55?
#tr {^$} {#gag} doesn't work

Try #trigger {$} {#gag}. As per the version notes (if I recall correctly), the ^$ blank-line pattern was broken until 6.1x.
