Moving the cursor

Is there any way to get the cursor to move up one line? I have color trigers set up to delete info I don't need to see, but I still have "blank" lines on the screen where they would have been. I'd like to make it so that the cursor moves back up, and thus the screen won't scroll until there's relevant info.
