Transfering ALL Characters and info

What the deal is I have zmud at work and I now have it at home. But i want to pull all the information from the one at work to the one at home. I have copied the entire zmud folder onto a disc. but even by replacing the database i get nothing... how can i get them transfered?

You get nothing? What do you mean?

You need to at least copy the chardb.mdb file, any *.lay file, and all the sub-folders inthe zMUD directory.

Just out of curiosity Kjata, is there a way to store character files (and relevant) on a personal server somewhere and point zmud toward that central repository, so working on a script "at home" will be usable "at work" when you're there? Without manually copying to a disc, or emailing it to yourself, that kind of thing :)

Why oh WHY did I have pass door on...

I'm not sure, you could try. In the Preferences, under Directories you can specify the directory where mudchar.dat should be located. In reality, the file should be chardb.mdb, but perhaps Zugg changed this to refer chardb.mdb but forgot to update the name in the Preferences. So try telling zMUD to look for this file over there and then edit your characters and in the Files tab tell it to look for the settings in the server too.
