Arrays and highlighting |
I'm still working on getting "simple" highlights working the way I would like. I've taken to heart what other people have suggested, like manually sorting my highlights, but that would take about 4 days if I worked on it constantly because of the 3+ seconds it takes to move a single highlight up one step (I have a lot of highlights). I'm considering just putting all my name highlights into some arrays, but I was warned that this might slow down the parsing. Is this true for the most recent version of zMUD (it is logically, but I'm far from a programmer)?

Have you considered stroing all your highlights in a DB then producing a CLASS file on the fly? You would then be able to edit the database quickly and would have the speed of individual triggers.
-Just a thought, Sanquash the gentle giant. |

Hmmm, makes me think. Maybe I should write a com addin highlight manager. I miss the highlight manager in the WizardFE for Gemstone.

I'd use it. Especially if it allowed for hex colors. |
