6.61 error - Chars: record not found.

Usual error: while trying to run ZMUD, I get message:

Chars: record not found.

Deleting ZMUD.INI doesn't solve the problem - it happens again and again (with newly created ZMUD.INI size equal to 0).

Previous version which I'm trying to upgrade from: 6.52.
Any suggestions?

Snark.

Aha.
I've just found a solution. The exact steps you have to do in my case are:

1) copy chardb.mdb to some temporary directory
2) delete all chardb.* files
3) run ZMUD 6.61, press "OK" and then "QUIT". New chardb.mdb has to be created.
4) replace this new chardb.mdb with previously saved one.

Voila! Everything is ok now.
