Is it just the one mud that gives you the lag? If so, then I would suggest that its on their server end, not on your end. Try comparing the speeds of connecting there with speeds at another mud.

Try and bracket the problem to one of the components in the chain:
[you] - [link] - [mud]
1) Is the mud running off someone's dial up so it is laggy? Check with the Imp?
2) Is the link between you and the mud laggy? Connect to the mud with raw telnet - is it a you-mud link issue and not a zMud issue.
3) If you make a new zMud session with no triggers/etc is it still laggy? Is your zMud settings lagging you?
Where is lag occuring?
