send #ok vs force |
It was never an issue for me before, but I've got a room on my mud that for some reason refuses to be automapped. What is the difference between the setting "Send #OK on speedwalk" and "Force entry into this room"? They both appear to do the same thing.

Send #OK on speedwalk causes a trigger to automatically be created when the direction for the room is sent to the mud. The pattern of the trigger is either the room name or the first line of the description depending on your configuration. It contains only the #OK command. This makes it so that the mapper does not believe your in the room until the trigger fires.
Force entry on the other hand moves the mapper position marker into the room immediately upon the direction being sent.
They are not mutually exclusive, but using both can cause problems in some speed walk modes. Neither one has any effect on whether the mapper will create a room in map mode, as they are options used in an existing room. |
