how do you search for posts by specific author? |
I used to do a search for all my posts so that I could dig up all the answers to questions I've already asked. There used to be a little dropdown menu type thing in the search capability, allowing you to search for all posts containing (for example) "a", and then you'd select the author you wanted to search for.
gack, i can't find that, it's not on the search, and you can't search (successfully) by putting the author's name in as a keyword.
I know i'm missing something, anyone mind helping me a bit here? *scuffs foot in dirt, somewhat embarrassed) |

I do not have this problem ,but maybe try limiting you search to one forum and maybe not the whole year it seems that the reply takes to long sometimes and times out.

You aren't missing anything, Obor. That option's been taken out.

So megamog75...you're still getting the 'Search by Member' option on searches? How peculiar, it's not working for me either.

I don't see it either. My guess is that it was taken out because it was making the Search page take too long to load. I'll see what I find out and post when I know something. I've also made a suggestion in case it was taken out, so there's no need to post that this feauture is necessary and should have not been taken out.
