the e-license, license server is down :-( |
great company you chose to use Zugg, I think not.e-license reley on your customers connecting to the their license server and they cannot be bothered to have more than one running in case they get a problem.
I re-installed ZMapper to be the latest version now I cannot use it because e-license are incapable of keeping their license server running and too dumb to have any redundancy buit in.
btw their web site is down too, which probably means no email as well.
I have emailed you already with screen prints.
Not only does e-license not server licenses they double the time out period each time just to annoy people when they do pay for a license from you.

You will find that people are more helpful when you are not so rude.

Zafrusteria, that was so rude that I almost just deleted your post immediately.
Have you ever run a server? Do you know anything at all about the Internet or running servers? Of course they have rundundancy (they actually have 3 servers to handle the load and for reliability). eLicense uses one of the largest hosting companies in the world, even more reliable than the company which hosts the www.zuggsoft.com site (which also goes down now and then). There is no such thing as a site that never goes down. Even Microsoft.com goes down sometimes. Sometimes it has to do with upstream Internet routers and not the web hosting company. Sometimes it's caused by idiots who think it's fun to spam the Internet with DoS attacks. Sometimes it's a power failure or big storm. Any number of reasons can take a server down for a short time.
For your information, zMUD only talks to the eLicense server when you need to get your license, which is once every 90 days. zMUD does not "reley" (learn to spell) on the eLicense servers all the time.
Sorry they happened to be down just when you needed to get your license. Perhaps you'll just try again later like with any other problem on the Internet.
Yes, I'm sure they are doing all of this just to annoy you personally.

And gee, when I checked my email, there was a message from eLicense from 10:43am:
----
Our hosting facility (hosting.com) is currently down. They are looking into why. I'll be in touch as soon as I have more info.
----
Anyone who has ever evaluated hosting companies knows that hosting.com is one of the biggest and best, so for them to be down must be pretty serious. This is as good of support as I could expect from ANY company.

as i can see right now (and as far as i know) probable isnt a server problem but a router problem. At the lower left corrner of the ie you can see the 'redirection' respond from router which at this case there is no respond ..probably the host (the entire host) got some problem.
