A problem I seem to be having in the last few days is rather annoying. For some reason Zmud wants to connect multiple times with my mud server. What I end up with after a few minutes is several blues lines stating 'connected with host www.materiamagica.com' and a message from the host stating there are too many concurrent connections come back in 5 minutes. When return after 5 minutes it sometimes will reconnect without a problem and sometime it does it all over again. Someone help me please!!

This occurs when your DNS server is slow to respond. The fix is to increase the lookup times. Go to Preferences and find the IP Address Lookup screen. Modify the values as desired.
Min Timeout -- timeout of first attempt in seconds
Max Timeout -- timeout of last attempt in seconds
Timeout Inc -- number of seconds to increment lookup tries by

Max Timeout should be greater than Min Timeout.
The difference between Max Timeout and Min Timeout should be a multiple of Timeout Inc.

To allow more time for the first attempt, increase Min Timeout.
To allow more time for the last attempt, increase Max Timeout.
To reduce the number of attempts, either reduce the difference between Min Timeout and Max Timeout or increase the value of Timeout Inc.
