trigger alias problems

Ok I have this really big trigger
#trig {something} {really really big;alias;#Echo go}
now the trig fires and does everything but the alias.
any suggestions?
The alias has something in it is in the same class (ver 6.40)

everytime I post a reply I seem to get the answer a minit later just by writing it down.
turns out that if the #Trig is really big and the result
is based on the #trig it takes a moment.
I had a #gag at the begining of the #trig to suppress the
output that caused the trig but instead it supressed the outcome.
