Mapping long room names?

I seem to be having a problem mapping rooms with long names, is there some sort of character limit built in? The mapper has been working great, up until I encountered a room name that was 45 characters long, and the mapper refuses to map that room. No special characters, no prompt issues. If I move on to the next room after that room, the room name is only 15 or so characters and it maps that room just fine. Any suggestions?

You are going to have to ask Zugg about that one, but as far as I know, there is no limit to the room name length when being captured. Th room name field in the database is 255 characters long.

If it's not mapping and you are %100 sure about your configuration being correct, chances are there's a very obscure difference between that room and another room. Maybe it doesn't end in a period like the others do, maybe there's an extra space at the end of the line, etc.

Do you have a #TELEPORT trigger set for that room by chance? I had to redo my map the other day, and had the same situation of a room refusing to map, and this turned out to be the problem. As soon as i disabled that trigger, the room mapped flawlessly.

I've compared this room's name and description with other similar ones in the area and I can't see any obvious differences. I've also checked my aliases, and I don't have any #teleport calls to that zone. I'll keep playing around with it, but just thought I'd see if anyone else if having the same issue. I'd like to throw in here that this mapper is _wonderful_ !

I discovered what the problem was with this. I had to check an option under Configuration Settings (in the mapper) that said "Room Name uses Proper-case". I haven't had that option enabled in the past, and I've mapped 70% of said MUD, but I suppose this one room name threw the whole thing off. Just an FYI that the problem was solved and a tip for anyone else who might be having this same issue. Thanks again!

Ok, it would appear as though checking the "Room Name uses Proper-case" checkbox isn't something I really want to do. The mapper tends to capture almost ANYTHING as a room name, i.e. if you enter in any commands before moving in a new direction, it'll capture something from that command's output and enter it as the room name, etc. Any other ideas anyone?
