Trigger triggered twice?

The pattern is:

^You follow {@buff|someone}.$

and when the mud sees a matching pattern, the trigger is set off twice.. this kind of messes up my auto-follow map stuff. :)

what's the value of @buff? and what are some of the lines that are causing this problem to happen? i tried to recreate it so i could figure out the issue, but didn't really have enough info.

I don't know why it fires twice, but you should first fixed the variable inside the {}'s. zMUD only allows static text inside {}'s in a pattern.
