OK I had a huge crash Lucaly I save all my stuff on a CD ANd I had another licencs but for some reason I can't get my map to work with my old characters it say it can't find:

"name of map" .ini file
or can'. write to it.

so how do I stop it from looking for my old map or how do I fix it?
Tried to convert but that did not work tried to place the map in the same file but that did not work. ZMud 6.40 (old) zmud 6.40 (new)
meaning my maps where made with 6.4

pleae help.....

Windows has the irritating habit of flagging files copied from a cd as read only. To fix it you will have to right click on the files and select properties. Then uncheck read-only. If you are using ME/2000/XP you can simply select your character folder, check readonly, apply that to the folder only, then uncheck readonly and apply it the fold and all subfiles.
