color code with v5.55

I don't know why but the text when i am playing is dim with some words or phrases and bright with others. I make triggers using #highlight for certain channels and such but i can't get everything to just be bright and not dim. It's hard to read dim words so is there some simply trick to make all words bright!

You can probably change the colors zMUD uses through preferences.

Theres an option to reverse the bright and dim colors, but i find i usually end up manually adjusting them, like this:

Click View/Preferences/Colors/ then expand the colors section and click Foreground Mapping. Click the color in question and this will bring up a color selector. Click Define Custom Colors and the color you picked will be there. Adjust the brightness slider upward to where you like it, then OK out of there.
