Which one? Sorry I am losing track of all these posts. Also I would really rather not post any of my scripts on here due to how Achaea is. I don't need serpent classes finding ways to obliterate them with illusions, which makes it hell to code anything in the first place.

Well I don't know how you missed them, but here they are:

Anyway, OldGuy you might want to turn off the ATCP option in the session preferences and see if that helps. But I still don't think we have found the original slowdown problem that you were having. You shouldn't use ATCP and MCCP at the same time anyway.

Also, please turn ON the messages for "show thread start", "show thread end".

...

I can see from the timings that your prompt trigger is executing *very* slow (8.0030 seconds in the above example), so I think that is where the problem is. I think you need to show us the full XML script for your prompt trigger so that we can help determine what is so slow about it.

I suggest also ticking the "Show when settings compile".

Then post the #DEBUG output.

Code:
#if (%pos(e,$defs)) {Equilibrium=1} {Equilibrium=0}

Depending upon what you mean by "checking each letter", this could be slow. The %pos command is performing a string search. It isn't necessarily very fast. You'd get much faster results if you made your $defs into a database variable and did %iskey("e",$defs), since that would use a hash table lookup.

But without seeing your full Prompt trigger, it's hard to help much more than this.

Prompt Trigger:

Code:
^(\d+)h\, (\d+)m\, \d+e\, \d+w ([cexkdb@]*)\-

So %1 stores health, %2 stores mana, and %3 would be $defs. Each letter in the range of %3 is a defense or balance where c=cloak, e=equilibrium, x=balance, k=kola, d=deafness, b=blindness. How would you do that using a database?

I think Zugg meant 'including the full code' to your prompt trigger. Have you tried running #DEBUG with the options I quoted above?

Those were already checked. They are automatically checked when it opens.
