1.02 window docking system |
In the 1.02 beta, I did not have time to update the window docking system. The 3rd party docking component that I use *does* have a new version, but it takes me several days to integrate my changes into their source code, so I decided to wait until 1.03 to update it.
This means that all of the docking issues that were in 1.01 will still be in 1.02. In particular, you can't actually close a MUD window (or child window) once it is created. The docking system only "hides" a window when you click the close button.
This was a problem in the docking system, and I notified the author about it. He has fixed this, along with several other issues that I reported, in the new version that I'll put into 1.03.
This makes 1.02 a bit annoying, so if you want to open a new session, you will need to exit CMUD, and then open the new MUD. Otherwise your previous MUD windows will stick around in the Windows menu list and in memory. |

Can't you send him all your changes and get him to put it in the source code?

Probably but it may not make sense since a lot of the changes may be for specific things that Zugg does for CMUD integration.

Most of the changes are to support the Theme engine in CMUD. These are not changes the author would be interested in. Trust me, I *have* sent him a bunch of changes for functionality and bug fixes and he *has* encorporated them into his new versions, so I'm really very happy with the AutomattedQA people who wrote this docking system.
