Simple question regarding Color Syntax

Simple question: Is there a quick way (keyboard shortcut preferred, or <I doubt this one> a writable alias) to enable/disable color syntax?
I love the feature, but it's not very effective for consistant useage .. just for occasional... would be nice if I could toggle it the way I can other options, such as parsing (ctrl-R) split screen (cntrl-Z) etc |
