liscenses |
i tried to find some information on this subject on the forums, but couldn't find too much relevent information. i read that you get 3 liscenses to use, however you have to reliscense every 90 days. I've already lost one liscense due to reformatting my hard drive. Also, i have zmud liscensed on my two computers at home already. This adds up to three liscenses. What i was wondering is this, i'm leaving for school in a bit, and would want to liscense zmud on that computer as well, but obviously that would be a 4th liscense. Do I get 3 new liscenses to use every 90 day period? or just 3 liscenses to use for my whole lifetime of zmud

You get one license that can be used on up three computers. Every 90 days your license expires and you have to renew it. This is to handle licenese getting lost to formating and broken computers and such. Now formating your hard drive doesn't always use up a new license as elicense keeps track of your hardware. This on top of the 90 day renewal means you should rarely ever use up all your licenses. You can also UNLICENSE a copy and and have it free to use on another computer. Open up control panel and click the eLicense icon Click Zuggsoft right click zmud and select product recipt and near the botton will be a line like this: License Number: 02/03 that will tell you how many of your three licenses you have used. If it says 3/3 then you have used up all three and either need to unlinces one or wait for it to autoexpire. I hope that answers your question I think imma go to sleep now before I fall down on the keyboard.

i suppose this hypothetical situation will completely answer my question. suppose i format my harddrive 3 times without unliscensing, come 90 days, will i have 3 more to use?

Yes.
That's the purpose of relicensing every 90 days, to ensure that no license can be lost for longer than that. |

In a sense yes but with the way elicense handles it now chances are you won't even lose a licences if you forget to unlicense before you format if you reinstall on the same machine. as Elicense records your hardware setup and compares it to that. |
