zMud 6.40 system requirements

I'm just returning to mudding and thinking of treating myself to the Rolls Royce of mud clients . However my comp is rather old, with 64MB and a 600Mhz processor and I've heard that zMud can need a lot of memory. How much memory does zMud need to run at full pace? And are there ways of cutting down on memory usage?

The latest beta has a base memory usage of around 11-14 MB. However, loading a map and a large scrollback buffer will require zMUD to use more memory over time.

Thanks Kjata. So far it seems to be just running fine, but system resources do seem to go low at times. I think mapping will have to wait until i save for that new comp.
