A question about the old version

I know this is not supported.. I'm just hoping someone else has come across this with the free version. I'm a licensed (and happy) customer but I wanted to be able to help some other users.

I'm on Win2K Pro, SP2. This is a fresh install. When I run the free version I get the following error:

Anyone come across (and hopefully solved) that?

I got that error too, running win2k. I never found out how to fix it. Maybe because the free version is 16 bit and win2k/xp is 32? I really have no idea :(

This is a compatibilty problem with Win2k and I believe NT. They require apps to be 32 bit or have specific compatibilty settings done. You will get more help from Microsoft on such an issue, best thing is to hunt for something about running 16 bit apps on 2K in thier knowledge base.

Isn't compatibility mode in XP, not Win2k?

Tried that. The reference is Q279792 for anyone that wants to look. Still get an error but now it doesn't pop-up. :P

I'll keep looking and post here if I find it.
