Zmud mapper problem

I have made a couple maps allready and it seemed to do well untill just now (for the last couple hours) I am trying to map a new zone and for some strange reason the mapper just makes the room have two exits one going northwest and the other going south, it's not looking for the exits it should, when I enter a room it still makes the same exits, I have configured it countless times but have no luck I tryed to config it and it goes into the autoconfig and the results are the same, one exit nw the other south, I tryed making a new zone, same results, basicly all it does is make each room with an exit nw and south, I don't know how to remove these exits also the Look button doesn't seem to work as though the find button now seems to act like the look button, I can't right click on any of the buttons either. I need help.

Out of interest what version of zMUD are you using?

There was a problem with some older versions of the mapper that it would create a south exit if the room name contained an 's such as Bob's Room (nw) as the mapper would think that whatever came after the ' was a direction. The latest version (7.05) fixes that bug, so if you're using an older version, upgrade.

I've seen this behavior when the room description has direction keywords in it (You see a forest to the south.) and the mapper picks that up as an exit. People always say that they can map an IRE MUD without making special triggers, but I think they stopped after a few rooms and never found the many cases that don't work without custom triggers. My own mapping script gets more complex each time I try to map something. [:p]

I have a problem with Zmud mapper and figured rather then starting a whole new thread, just air it out here..

I recently had to format my hard drive. WHen i reloaded the map, it was missing several zones that I had mapped in 7.05. I had to remap them, and when i remapped the zones.....it didn't create a file for the new zone.

such as... I would enter a new area, then move the first room to a new area, put in a name for the new area, and continue to map that area.

Why is it not creating a new file with that name like it has in the past??

I am afraid when I need to do a format again, i will have to REMAP all the places I have had to remap, and that is frustrating.. Is there something I have configured wrong??

Win XP home ed with Zmud 7.05.

Any help would be appreciated in this matter.

Thanks,

Drakus

Please start a New Topic with your question. It has little, if any, bearing on the current topic.
