Slow forum access

Is it just me or is the forum running really slow? To just generate the forum pain page takes 12 seconds according to that page. "This page was generated in 15.88 seconds."

It varies. Keep in mind that the download traffic is pretty high right now. Also, I think this happens when someone is searching the forum. I've looked at the MySql console when it's slow and usually see at least one process doing something time-intensive.
Then again, the Internet itself seems slow these days. Maybe it's all of the spam and virus email clogging it. I've just noticed that other sites I've visited seem slower than normal also.
One of these days we'll get the forums moved to a faster linux box. Till then we have to just live with the current WinNT box, sorry. |

FYI, at 10:33am (GMT-5) on a Saturday morning here in the States, it's pretty responsive, but during the daytime hours while I'm at work and I look at it, it's slower. So it's probably traffic, not systemic.
