Simple #capture trigger

Hi all,

I have a really simple trigger I need help with (I am a novice with triggers). I want to #capture the tells I send and recieve into another window, which has been working, however it has only been capturing the first line. I have tried adding in -1 and that doesn't work. This is what it looks like:

You tell %1 - #cap tells, #gag
1% tells you, %2 - #cap tells, #gag, #beep

-------------

I have searched through the forums a bit but the only messages I could find involved much more complicated things that I couldn't understand :/ Any help is appreciated.

(%w) tells you (*)$(*)$

that's only good for double line. You'll run into more problems in that it will also match single lined tells as well. I started looking at this, but never got around to finish looking into it. if i have time today, i'll try to get it working again.

another thing to check, look in the help files for 'Pattern Matching'

btw, to send to another window look at the #WINDOW command.
#WIN <window name> %1 tells you %2

Paste a couple of examples of multiple line tells from the mud.

That way maybe we can see a way to capture all lines till we see a ' or a " or something similar.
