i not sure if this has ever happened to anybody else, but i've run out of ideas on how to fix this little problem i am currently having.

I added a monitor to my computer and this is the only reason i can think that has happened: something got misconfigured and now the prefrence window for the mapper won't show up where i can see it. Im pretty sure this isn't supposed to happen heh. Anyway my question is this - Is there a way to recalibrate that window so it pops in its default position? Any advise would be appreciated.

i unregistered, uninstalled, deleted every zmud file cept for a couple files i use all the time. reinstalled and put said files back in the root directory. loaded up, got my layout set up again, started up the mapper: low and behold it works again. I have no idea what i did to lose those windows, but i know it stems from using the 2 monitors. :x Id still like to know if there is a way to recalibrate zmud dialog box's so they pop in default position.

In the future, if anything happens to your windows you have a couple of options available to you:

1)Reset Windows from the menubar (under the Layout menu)

2)delete zmud.ini from the ZMud main directory. If you've got any global settings, you may want to simply rename this file so you don't immediately lose those settings forever but these are the only things in this file that don't get recreated.

The other thing you can try when you suspect an active window is off the screen is to hit alt-space and chose Move from the menu. The window has to be the active one, though. So in this case, click the Map button, hit alt-space, choose M and use your arrow keys to move it back on the screen. If it doesn't pop up the system menu for the window when you hit alt-space, it isn't the active window.

I've ran into this while building some programs in Delphi. I found there's a non-obvious windows API call that you can use to restore window size/position that works better with multiple monitors. I'll have to send it along to Zugg at some point.
