Zmud Icons

I made some new zmud icons. Not that I didn't like the old ones, but I wanted to see nicer looking ones. I reshacked the icons into Zmud, if anyone wants it, email me here.

Here is the download for the icons.

Ok, I did some updating didn't really like the ones I made, so I updated them. There is 2 of each color of icon, for light or dark backgrounds. By the way, these icons are made for Windows XP. If you would like them for any other OS, email me. I'd also like comments and suggestions.

Download the lot here http://www.cgillett.com/ZmudIcons2.zip

While I appreciate your effort with this, keep in mind a couple of things:

1) The 'Z' is part of the Zugg Software logo, so changing the style isn't a really good idea since it then doesn't match the company logo.

2) The icons that are used in Windows are mainly the 32x32 and 16x16 bit sizes. Only WinXP can use the larger sizes. And from what I can tell, your 32x32 and 16x16 icons are a lot less readable than the current ones.

I'm all for increasing the color depth of the icon, although 256 color pallette is all you need to use for an icon. Using 32bpp is really overkill for icons.

Didn't mean to discourage, but hopefully this feedback will help focus your efforts to something that I can use. Thanks,

It's not a font, it's a custom bitmap.

Alright 3rd times a charm. :) How are these? They have both 256 colors and 16.8 million colors, with alpha channel.

Can the icon that appears in the Windows taskbar be changed? If so, how?
