Predefined variables

I wanted to know why you can't #echo or #say
some predifined variables. For example %ip and %port. There are others that cannot be but there a some that can like %curwin.

Any ideas?

All three of those (%curwin, %ip, %port) worked with #SAY. I didn't bother to test #ECHO. They also work with #ECHO and #SHOW.

zMud gags lines containing your password. Perhaps your password contains
numbers that is in the %port and %ip.

Can't test in v6.40 but in v6.53 there is an option to turn that gagging off
view->preferences->General
click on "Script Parser"
uncheck [ ] Gag password

Give that a try?
