automapper ignores standard exits

typical room movement output looks like this...

A Grassy Hill [Outdoors]
There is a slight bounce in your step created by the firm clay and soft
earth under you. If there was more humidity in the air, the going may be
slippery, but for now movement seems fairly simple. A slight mist lingers in
the area, bringing with it the scent of fresh grass.
[Exits: north east south]

You fly south.
A Grassy Hill [Outdoors]
The grass and earth are soft underneath your feet and traveling is fairly
easy as, although the earth is spongy, it is fairly firm and predictable.
The smell of fresh grass permeates the area and a fine mist seems to linger,
only displaced infrequenly by a gentle breeze.

after automatically configuring the mapper, any movement is ignored. This is a fresh install on an XP machine.

Sounds to me like it's most likely not detecting your prompt properly.

You might want to check into the #TAG command to tag the prompt...

yet when autodetecting, it clearly marks my exits as.. well.. exits. also, 6.16 had no problem with my exits.

Note, I clearly said PROMPT in my reply, not exits. if it doesn't detect the prompt it never creates a room.

I found the problem and it appears to have had nothing to do with the exits or the prompt. During the auto-configuration, the option was set that all room descriptions were 10 lines (they're usually 3 to 6 lines). I changed the option to reflect that all descriptions are 1 line and the mapper started working fine. Thanks for the suggestions tho :)
