Yes, but for variables to be shared correctly which also means what shows up in each named .pkg session (checked boxes) the layout supersession is been redone

which is what I'm attempting to do now, with your help.

Right, so just delete all the duplicates out of sutex, then try to build the super as outlined.

Map is a separate file, so it should be fine as is, just locate it so it can be renamed and moved
just need XML of the 3 characters, they likely all have redundant capture info at the moment which we can consolidate into the 4th package

Make each of the 3 new character sessions.
Import from XML.
Ensure they connect properly.

Make your new supersession named for the mud.
Connect to it offline.
Immediately open up settings and go into the advanced properties of the main window to turn off connection settings.
Open up the map (give it a second as it makes a new map file: SessionName.dbm).
Close CMUD.

Open file explorer.
Rename current good map to SessionName.dbm
Move renamed map file to: Documents/My Games/CMUD/SessionName (confirm replacement)

Reopen CMUD and the new SupperSession.
Start adding individual Character sessions.
Manually close out CMUD and reopen to ensure that all sessions are being loaded correctly.

I think that should do it.

Ok DONE .. I hope ..lol maybe :)

Closing down Cmud reopening allowed me to position the windows had heaps of issues tying to line them up for awhile.

Yet when I first reopened a grey very large window call status bar was the entire view, close it , and then opened the No connection super session 'EternalDarkness'
and then the other 3 Char. Lined them up as in the image above.

Supersession name EternalDarkness ( that the left Tab next to Sutex ) has the map the all the Chat windows and shows Halix Zarlix Sutex ticked .pkg boxes
The 3 Char have ONLY theirs .pkg ticked , they're showing the others but they remained unchecked

I have all ticks on for Lock and Autolayout saved

Question

Do I hide the Super Session Window?

Wondering the best way to save it And to start it up ?

Any suggestions ?

NOTE

You make a new session and import from the file menu of the settings editor.

For those Reading the Name of the .Xml must be the same name and CASE
So if you export aaa.xml And then make a new session AAA you need to rename it to AAA.XML before you import it.

Close the above layout down , and tried to open it in the order

The entire layout is gone , just all tabbing across back to square one tying to get the above layout ..doh!

Update Tried again here's the image https://imgur.com/mFp0VmG

Saving the layout is not working

The super window you likely want to make it float and just disappear in the background, its an unfortunately useless window you are stuck with... or you can try to repurpose it.
I find the best way to actually save a stubborn layout is to unlock the layout, manually save it, and then X out CMUD.
Don't lock it until it loads up the way you like it.

As for starting it up, just connecting you your eternal darkness session should load it all up at once.

Yea, I never got supers to work either.
But I never had the incentive to really try either, as I don't MA.

Given up on trying to Save it as Super Session, Cmud kept crashing.
And those reading; For the record you have to click in each .pkg session window in the command line go to the menu and SAVE the layout, not very clear in the help files.

shalimar have I got this setup correctly for variables to be shared the Group and Report triggers, why this epic post all started..lol

Thanks heaps for working though this with me, was really starting to do my head in with the layout not saving until I did the above. Lets forget all about saving it as a Super Session ..:)

ZARLIX

HALIX

SUTEX

Unconnected Eternal Darkness Window the Chat windows you see are connected

Ps the map was causing issues with the layout as well , did look good for a while when it worked sliding out and back, so Its not apart of the layout.

Ah, that might be an issue with the flyout windows in general.
I like the concept, never found a practical application for my own uses.

So long as things are working the way you can make effective use of it, that is the main point here.
I'm just sorry the super didn't work for you.

Yeah no worries , so the above images, with respect to those triggers is it set up right.

So to share variables I just drop what ever trigger / variable to be shared into Eternal Darkness Window ?

All three of the characters need to have eternal darkness enabled for any eternal darkness settings to have the scope to fire, but otherwise, yea.
Ideally, eternal darkness would have the triggers and each character has its own variables.
Then something like this contrived autoHealer could be used:

#ALL {#IF (@health < (@healthMax/3)) {#EXECWIN HealerName {heal %sessionid}}}

I'm so HAPPY ... the issue I found in trying to get My Cmud to work the way I wanted, was the help files they never really explained the level of detail I needed to be able to solve my questions.

In my defense for been so clueless. These Chars where an Import from Zmud and then ported across from 98, XP, Win 7, and finally Win 10 , with Clean installs of those OS along the way.

So trying to remember how I had it working in the past ( poorly at best) and then set it up correctly ( best practice) has been a very trying experience for all involved I'm sure :)

Again shalimar GURU I thank you for your time and patience in helping me sort though my lack of understanding ( remembering) to finally reaching a point I can now fix scripts that never worked all those moons ago.

It is at last done !! thanks :)
