slowdown of the map database

Sorry for the vague topic but recently I am having trouble with the map database. When I do into edit mode and start automapping, the mapper works but the delay in creating new rooms after I have moved is sometimes up to 3 seconds. I have noticed a slowdown in the #FIND command as well when I use the database to sync my location on the mud. Before this it was a few milliseconds for the sync and now it is up to 2 seconds long.

Any idea on what could be causing the slow down of my mapper?

Sounds like your map is likely very large.
Or the session has been open a long time.
Does restarting CMUD or rebooting help at all?

not 2 days ago however the database was working fast. The only change I have made was when editing some of the rooms I have started using #CALL %mapfilter(%concat("ZoneID = ",%zonenum()))

to select the current zone that I am using.

I am unsure how this fixed it but I used some old settings from the same map and I copied and pasted the .zfg and .cfg map files. Now the map is fast as usual but I am unsure of what I did to get it into the state it is in
