Numpad Direction Problems

Like many, I use the numpad to get around on my MUD, Carrion Fields. However, the numpad directions default to num9 being Northeast, and so forth. My MUD doesn't have diagonal directions. I have tried setting my own macros to fix it, but now the pgup key ends up being what I set num9 to be. I used to have this problem figured out, but I had a total HD crash and lost all my old settings. How can I make my direction keys correct and still be able to use my pgup keys correctly?
