CMUD Netbook |
Would a normal typical cheap netbook be able to handle cmud? I tried looking for some system reqs and couldn't find any.

CMud is small enough to easily run on a netbook. Your scripts and associated media files (external databases, pictures, sounds, etc) might not be, if they are extremely extensive beyond what a typical user is likely to build or share.

It runs for me on an older netbook (1.6 atom, smaller hard drive).
The startup time is 13 seconds and I haven't tried it with significant numbers of settings/etc. loaded. The startup times of apps in general are slow on this machine; I assume it's a combination of the hard drive and limited memory as well as the Atom.
One thing to remember if your netbook is like mine: turn off numlock every time you start CMUD. Lots of netbooks use a chunk of the regular letter keyboard as a number bad. |

How will that change anything? Even if the keys aren't macroed, you'll be typing numbers instead of letters.

Exactly.
However, if I'm smart enough to turn off "Activate NumLock" under Options|General, then my problem goes away.
I obviously don't use it on the netbook very often or intensely (installed it "just in case").
