Automatically opening a map on session bootup.

Every time I start a session I have to manually load the map I want to use, is there a way to set up CMUD so that it always loads a particular map package for a particular session?

once you have the map up, go to the layout menu and choose save, that should do it

It still seems to just open the mapper but not the map file.

I had a similar problem getting a shared map to autoload. Ensure that the "Autoload on startup" box in the Map object preferences is checked. You might also ensure that the object is pointing to the right file (the full path to the file is shown on the same options screen)

Where can I find the Map object preferences? I've been looking for an hour and either I'm looking at the right thing and not finding that option or am not looking at the right preferences.

Open Package Editor, click on the map entry in the Tree view and find "Autoload on startup" option on the right panel. |

My apologies, I should have said "Options", not "preferences." Those two terms are confusing with CMUD, given that sometimes they are interchangeable. In this case, though, "options in package editor" would have surely saved you some time and frustration.
