zMUD and WinXP |
How do I get eLicense to work with WinXP? I'm back to using the "trial version" of zmud because WinXP isn't compatable with eLicense.
Thanks! |

They work fine, if you install zMUD while logged as a user with Administrator permissions. This can either be the Administrator user, or another user in the Administrators group.
I don't believe you need to be an administrator to run zMUD after that, just to install it.

I've tried again, re-licensing zMUD from the Administrator account (again). I get this error message:
_______
Unable to get or install license.
Retrieval of license failed with error code = 17.
All renewable licenses are currently active- no license is avaliable at this time.
_______
I was using zMUD under my license with no problems using Windows ME the day before I installed XP.
Thank you for your continuing assistance. |

Sorry; I've figured out the answer to my question. I stupidly forgot to check and see if there were any special instructions for using eLicense, and I did not unlicense zMUD when I upgraded Windows.
So, in 90 days or so, it should probably work again.
Thanks for your help, and sorry that it ended up being such a stupid problem (arg!). |
