Mapper- How to turn the map to OFF/ON mode via #commands

Hey,

Any clue how I can turn off the automapper (without clicking the red X)? I've got a complicated speed walk that isn't working with the mapper on. I want to add in my alias a command to turn the mapper on/off.

Thanks :)

I Was thinking you could do that with %maplocked, but it doesn't look like it. If your using the beta mapper you can try:

Code:

#t- <location object>

script

#t+ <location object>

Yea, I just tried that. No go.

I typed it exactly like that right? Nothing goes into the location object?

In the old mapper, there was a function (%mapmode()?) that allowed you to check the state of the mapper. If it's still useful with the beta mapper, I'll go dig up the function I have in ZMud to check for this.

Couldn't hurt. Did it let you modify it too?

This should do the trick.
Code:
#menu {Mapper|File|Off}

Although I'm a little concerned about what kind of speedwalk doesn't work when the mapper is in follow mode. Is there any particular reason why that is?

Here's what I use:

These change the state of the mapper...
#ALIAS mapoff {#MENU {Mapper|File|Off}}
#ALIAS mapwalk {#MENU {Mapper|File|Follow}}
#ALIAS mapmake {#MENU {Mapper|File|Map}}

This one toggles the map on and off...
#ALIAS maptog {CMD AutoMapper}
