Tilde?

Hi all, I just had a question about changing the function of the Tilde. I play a mud that uses the tilde in front of the players name you wish to target for emotes, but when I insert the tilde it just does not function. I have heard that there is a way to change the function of the tilde but have yet to find a way to do it. Any help would be appreciated. Love the client otherwise.

Click on options, general, scripting tab, special characters, change the quote character to something else or uncheck it.
