[2.35] Can't Force save changed settings in a read-only package |
1. Create a session, and add to it a shared package. Mark this "shared" package as read-only.
2. In this "shared" package, create a new setting (in my case, a variable). Save it, then use the "Force Save" button to save the package.
3. Kill and restart the instance, and you will see the setting was added.
4. Modify the setting. Force save again.
5. Kill and restart the instance, and the setting has not changed.
6. Change the setting again, but then also add a new setting. Force save.
7. Kill and restart, and both the added settings are changed or added. |

Another bug report that probably got buried, so I'll bump it once.

Hmm, I actually tried this and couldn't reproduce it. In step (4) I modified the setting, then clicked Save Changes, then clicked the Force save option. That seemed to work. Did you just forget to click the Save Changes button first? Or maybe I should make the Force Save button automatically do a Save Changes? Is that the problem?
