[2.18] buttons not updating correctly when associated variables change

I multiplay. Living and dying by my gauges/spell buttons that keep me updated on my other characters.
In my normal files, hp/mana/other variables are set by and stored by a package, while my buttons are in each characters session.
This issue breaks that configuration too. I used the following to make sure I was not having some other issue:

Opened cmud, created two new sessions (test1 and test2), opened both offline.
Created a package (testpack), shared it with both sessions.
In the package, created a variable (testvar) and a button.
The button has @testvar as the caption.

The button is displayed on both windows, yay! (i always was looking forward to that improvement)

But if you enter the following in the command line on one session:
Code:
testvar = asdf

the button only updates in the window with focus.
switch back to the other session and the button has not updated.

edit:thank larkin, my mistake

Probably just a typo in your post, but you said your button uses @testvar, and you're setting the value of testvar1. Wink

yes a typo, as i said it updates in the window with focus, not the others.
i am downloading and 2.18 now, perhaps that will change things, as the setting of these variables in my normal setup use ;'s

2.18 changes nothing with my button problems. Has anyone else had any problems with buttons + multiplaying? :(

I have some odd examples of this particular bug in my Toolbox now. By the time Zugg returns in January, I should be able to produce an easy example or 3 for him to test it with. It is quite irriating, and that is even with me doing other bounces and tricks to try to force updating.
