This differs from the other Settings Editor blanking out in that starting the program over again will fix this. Additionally while the tree view is blanked out you can actually search for things and edit them to the right, but you just cannot see the tree view to the left.

I've noticed this sporadically in the past but I think I've seen a situation where it happens almost regularly.

General Procedure (doesn't happen every time):

1) While connected
2) Open settings editor
3) Open debug window
3) Mess around in debug window scrolling up and down to look at things.
4) Close debug window
5) Go back to the settings editor and close then re-open it.
6) Go back to step 3 onwards and try a few times if it doesn't happen right away.

you might wanna update to 2.22 instead of continuing to make reports for 2.21
