[2.14] Text running underneath right panel buttons |
Open CMUD
ESC to untitled package
Options -> General
User Interface tab -> Buttons
Change one of the toolbar positions to the right side.
Make a button on that side, make it quite wide, 200 pixels or something
#SAY something really long that goes over one line
Notice it goes behind the button rather than wrapping properly |

If you resize the window after setting up the buttons does it work then? Is this new to 2.14?

I have screen shots from 2 different session layouts, both procedures use this at the command line
| Code: |
| #SAY test of a long line, that has gone on for a really long time because i felt like rambling and needed to make an absolutely huge line. |
My display resolution is 1024x768 so this line is long enough to get wrapped in the untitled session maximized. In my main session I have a number of secondary windows docked on the right, which should roughly equate to Guinn's button. Both tests show the display does not wrap at the proper point.

OK, looks like there is a serious problem with the new character width caching routine that is causing all of these output font problems. I'm not going to be able to fix this until Monday. Sorry about that, but hopefully it's still useable till then and you can do other testing.
But for now, don't worry about reporting other display issues. It's all font and character width related. That's what I get for trying to optimize a routine just to make Vista faster. |
