I had this talk with a couple people.. but haven't really got any help yet.. I will post the information from these two poeople.. so that maybe somebody else can help me.. if you have any idea what this info is that I am posting.. and are willing to help me build a hunting bot.. please send me a PM, thank you so much.

I was recently reading over a post you made about a combat bot or hunting bot. I am looking for help. I used to play this MUD, the name of the mud is Dead of Night, deadofnight.org. I used this play this MUD 7 years ago.. and scripted my own bot to auto hunt for me. However, I have forgot how to do this now that I am starting up to MUD again. I am seeking help.

I am looking for a bot to do the following things..

Set up a list of mobnames.
Scan, typing scan to see what is in the nearby rooms.
If a mob is in the room with it.. and its name is on the mob list.. it kills it.
If a mob is not in the room, but scannable.. ie: to the north, south, east, west, down, or up.
Walk into the room towards the mob and attack it.
After it kills the mob.. scan again to continue looking for mobs on the list.

Do you understand what I am talking about? Or should I try to explain it a little bit more?

You can log on the mud if you would like.

There is not really a list of mobs.. because there is a ton of different mobs.. each zone is completely different. However, could you give me a default.. and I could just plug the name in to it when I go to a new zone.

This is an example of the end of a fight..

You pulverize a swamp rabbit with your amazing cleave to its body.
You smite a swamp rabbit's body extremely well.
A swamp rabbit misses you.
You destroy a swamp rabbit with your cleave to its body!
A swamp rabbit is mortally wounded.
You smite a swamp rabbit to death, gore flying everywhere!!
You get your share of 31204 experience.
A swamp rabbit is dead! R.I.P.
Your blood freezes as you hear a swamp rabbit's death cry.

There is really no skills to use during the fight, a normal fight anyway.. you can use skills and cast spells.. but just a normal fight.. it starts out with.. for example to the above fight..

I would type..

kill rabbit, then just let the fight end.

the ball of light : immediately to the west

First of all, Abijah, you should have posted this in the zMUD Forum. This is for finished scripts, and you will more than likely receive no help here. Second of all, this is a bot, and it is illegal per your MUD's rules. This quote is taken from here.
