[1.34] Variable scope and deleting windows

I just ran into an odd sort of bug here. I wasn't able to display the contents of a variable that I knew existed and was in the right place, enabled, etc. My settings alias should show me a pretty version of my settings data record variable, and it worked great before I messed with a child window (testing my MXP mapper window).

1. Opened my profile with all my usual script stuff, several modules in one package, each containing lots of variables, aliases, triggers, and what-not.
2. #MAKEWIN test
3. In the Package Editor, right-clicked on "test" window and deleted it.
4. Tried to show a variable with #SHOW and could not see it. The variable appears in a search and with #VAR (no params).
5. Did a Close All, re-opened the profile and could access the variables again just fine.

This is repeatable for me. Anyone else?

Sounds like package corruption - it's working for me.

I just did a simple test with a clean package and it did work, so you're probably right. I don't want to re-build this whole package, but I guess that's what I'll have to do. Unfortunately, my scripts get large enough to crash CMUD when I try to load them, even though I'm breaking them up into lots of smaller chunks... Neutral

I'd say hold off the rebuild until 2.0. Zuggs going to do a lot of work around the XML copy which is used internally and address a few other issues, so things may get resolved by then.
