Horizontal scroll bar

Can I remove this scroll bar somehow? I never need to scroll that direction.

I agree. The scroll bar is useless, and gets in the way when trying to click nearby.

It's easy to get rid of. Just to the left of the scrollbar (between the scrollbar and your tick timer in your picture), there is a splitter drag area. Move the mouse over this blank area and the mouse cursor will change to a resize cursor. Now just drag it to the right until the scrollbar shrinks to nothing. This setting will be saved with your preferences.

Some people might think the scrollbar is useless, but it's quite important on systems that do not use word-wrapping. For example, I use it all of the time when administering my linux box so that I can scroll to see the full output of a 'ps -aux' command. So just because you don't use it yourself, please don't just assume that it's "useless". Most every feature in CMUD (and zMUD) has been requested by other customers, so everything usually has a purpose.

in zMUD it does actually disappear, all except for the resize apot

in CMUD you are still left with the clickable arrows at either end of the scroll area

As an alternative you can hide the status bar entirely.
