[1.18] Copying Settings Bug |
When you copy a setting to another class, it appears to be copying the parent of the setting you are copying. Let me explain further:
Take a trigger that is in the package root, right click it, and go down to copy to >
Pick a class on the list, and click the green tick icon.
In the class that you copied it to, you will now find a package icon with the name of the package that you copied. (This does not include all the package's contents).
This can also be shown to happen inside a class. Except again it is the settings parent (i.e. the class folder) that appears in the destination.
Now.. im not sure if this is what caused it... but, i lost a few classes of triggers. Maybe it was careless deleting, im not 100% sure. But i just thought id mention it and see if anyone else had experienced it.
Thanks

Added to bug list.
You shouldn't have lost anything though. When it copies the main class folder, the settings that were in that class folder should still be in their original location. In other words, using Copy won't delete anything...it just doesn't currently make a copy of the settings within the folder. |
