IIRC WinXP, by design, reboots if a program has a catastrophic failure. I have seen this happen with buggy drivers and/or hardware overclocked too far.

I cannot get zExplorer 401 to start. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling. When I click on the the zExplorer executible, the drive goes for a bit but the app never comes up.
