I can confirm the issue reported by Hennes is a CMUD bug.
It also happens to me.
The error arises WHEN mapping new rooms AFTER coloring rooms (by selecting them with a rectangle).

To get rid of the door I did:
1. Make the exit normal.
2. Remove door.
