I had the same issue. Fixed after doing the Save Default Layout with status window closed, and then one of my sessions I had to then open and manually Save the layout without the Status window there ...

I managed to get a trace that displays completely wrong colors as well as incorrect bold, see email for most recent traces 'text2.txt' and 'text2.raw'

Upgrade. This issue was fixed in 3.xx. In fact, there is no reason you should be using something as old as 2.37.

Aha, yes just to the left. The problem was the current room color was the same grey as the window background... impossible to see unless you mouse over it.
