My Preferences Pulldown Menu no longer works.

View ---> Preferences--->

I click on any of the pulldown menus and nothing happens. I'm unable to access any of my preferences to change them ...

I'm trying to use triggers to input data into my database. Here is what I have so far.

Trigger Pattern: ^~"(*)~" the raised standard of (*).
Trigger Value:
#DBLOAD items
#IF %query( "%1" = & ...
