Oops, that should read "I tried changing this to #GAG 1 (which compiles as "cmd gag (1)") but this did *NOT* help."

I have just upgraded to the latest version of cMUD (2.18) and today logged into Discworld MUD for the first time since doing so. I found that cMUD produced an error message "Access violation at addres ...
